The big Gulf airlines are always competing with one-another to offer the most luxurious services, especially on important routes like London – Doha, or London – Abu Dhabi. The latest of these offers comes from Qatar Airways and it’s as impressive as it gets.
The first class cabins aboard Qatar Airways` new Airbus A380 can easily rival the accommodations in any high-end hotel. First of all, they are very spacious: each passenger gets an ultra-wide (22 inch) seat which can convert into a seven foot-long bed, as well as wardrobe with pockets containing slippers, pyjamas and Giorgio Armani and Christian Dior amenity kits. Luxurious features are present throughout: fine woven fabrics and leathers, elegant chandeliers, and an entertainment system consisting of a 48cm personal HD video screen with a 3.8in touchscreen controller complete with a sizeable library of films.
These cabins also boast a couple of deluxe bathrooms with sensor-operated taps, a large sink, and enough space to act as changing rooms. Passengers will definitely enjoy an on-demand, á la carte menu which includes caviar and desserts, and there’s even a sizeable lounge with bar, offering the perfect setting to pass the time between takeoff and landing.
Qatar Airlines is offering these ultra-luxurious services for flights between London Heathrow and Doha starting October 10. The fare for such a round trip will set you back about $6,400.
