Swiss luxury watchmaker Greubel Forsey has just unveiled an ultra-exclusive timepiece called the GMT Black edition.
The timepiece comes with a titanium black ADLC case measuring 43.5 mm in diameter, with an asymmetrical convex sapphire crystal and an asymmetrical convex sapphire crystal display back. Even though the choice of color might not seem eye-catching enough for such a precious watch, its unusual dial layout more than makes up for it. It features a 24 timezone worldtime display, rotating titanium globe with universal time display, summer time indicator, and day-and-night indicator, with silver hands and a red triangle hand for the second timezone indicator.
Movement is the Swiss manual-wind Greubel Forsey in-house caliber GF05 with 50 jewels, 21,600 vph and a power reserve of 72 hours. The titanium tourbillion cage is made up of 87 parts with a flat black polished steel bridge, hand-bevelled and with a gold counterweight. Finally, the piece comes on a hand-sewn black alligator strap with a titanium black ADLC folding clasp.
The Greubel Forsey GMT Black wristwatch will be released as a limited edition comprising just 22 pieces, each priced at a staggering $565,000.
