There’s a new mind-boggling supercar in town and it’s ready to shock and awe every single one of us with its good looks. Bearing the name of a two-time Formula 1 and Indy champion, the Fittipaldi EF7 Vision Gran Turismo represents Fittipaldi’s first foray into the supercar world, as an up and coming automaker this time, and it looks like it was well worth the wait.
Emerson Fittipaldi reached out to Lotus and McLaren to acquire the skills and talent required for this project, and we’re all thankful for that. Th renowned Italian design studio Pininfarina also got involved for the design, while the team at HWA took care of the engineering. That’s how this menacing supercar has been born, boasting a carbon fiber shell and monocoque chassis, that’s perfectly capable of meeting FIA motorsport safety standards.
A specially-designed 4.8-liter V8 sits comfortably at the heart of this beast, with 600 naturally aspirated ponies and 310 lb-ft of torque sent to the rear axle through a six-speed sequential gearbox and a two-way mechanical limited slip differential. That’s the perfect recipe for a little bit of fun, right?
As big as a Ferrari, yet way lighter, this supercar has been equipped with independent wishbones, featuring coilover springs at both ends, ventilated steel disk brakes and many other goodies. There’s no word on pricing yet, but those of you with no limits on your credit card are more than welcomed to ask Fittipaldi for their very own customized version.
