As always, Cartier has caught our attention with something extraordinary – the Les Heures Fabuleuses de Cartier was recently unveiled, on the occasion of the SIHH, comprising utterly magnificent timepieces like the Tortue Secret Watch, the Panthère Divine watch and the Peacock Motif wristwatch among many other accessories, like pendants and brooches.
We’re not going to focus on the aforementioned, but others – for example, there’s the Cartier Fabuleux Frog timepiece, which, accompanied by the matching brooch crafted from 18-carat white gold, encrusted with moonstones, pink sapphires and brilliant-cut diamonds, is an absolute marvel. Another gorgeous piece is the rhodium-plated pink gold brooch garnished with moonstones, emeralds and brilliant-cut diamonds.
The brooch-less Cartier Fabuleux Peacock watch is meant for those going OTT, while the matching brooch is a beauty, embellished with sapphire, ruby and diamonds. Another diamond-garnished marvel is the Cartier Fabuleux snake watch, a limited edition of just 60 units.
For the elegance-seeking ladies, the white gold and rhodium-plated steel Cartier Fabuleux snake watch without the brooch is a good choice. The brooch that matches this particular timepiece is crafted from 18-carat white gold plated with rhodium and set with brilliant-cut diamonds. The eyes of the snake are yellow diamonds, while the butterfly set features garnets.
Two of the most good-looking pieces of the lot are the Cartier Fabuleux Parrot watch and ring. Furthermore, the Cartier Fabuleux Baguette Panthère timepiece with bracelet and case, crafted from white gold and embellished with baguette-cut and brilliant-cut diamonds, is gorgeous.
An equally charming diamond-encrusted piece is the Cartier Fabuleux Envol d’un Phoenix wristwatch. Design-wise, we were impressed by the Cartier Fabuleux green beryl and diamond watch, which truly stands out from the crowd due to its unique appearance.
In the end, as the Cartier Fabuleux Elephant reminds of vintage designs, like pocket watches, a much closer approach would be the Cartier Fabuleux diamond bracelet watch with rose-cut and brilliant-cut diamonds.
