Earlier this year, Turkish shipyard Tansu Yachts released the 37.92-meter superyacht So’Mar – and now it’s time to take a closer look at this awesome vessel.
Everything regarding the ship’s construction was done by Tansu Yachts, from the concept to the exterior and interior design, while the naval architecture and engineering is the result of a collaboration with Diana Yacht Design. The vessel’s future owners were also deeply involved with the interior styling, which resulted in the finished product being a modern, elegant, and completely personalized design.
So’Mar’s most remarkable feature is the private owner’s deck on the upper aft, something extremely rare for a boat of this size. The owners can thus enjoy their beautiful private master cabin with amazing views, plus the entire aft upper deck – all of this far away from prying eyes. In addition to this, there’s also accommodation for up to eight guests, though these rooms are located on the lower deck.
The ship is powered by twin Caterpillar engines outputting 447 kW at 1800 rpm, allowing her to reach a makimum speed of 15.2 knots, while the cruising speed is 12 knots. So’Mar has a range of 3271 nautical miles at 10 knots thanks to her 22,300 liter fuel tanks and also comes with two tenders: a 5.5-meter and a 4.3-meter Novurania outboard.
