The Scuderia Ferrari collection of timepieces was first announced around one year ago, among unsure waters. Finally, Movado Group and Ferrari have finished the project, having officially unveiled it on the occasion of the famous Baselworld 2013 in Switzerland.
The line of watches pays tribute to Scuderia racing cars, like the Formula One car and the Ferrari GT. The timepieces of this collection draw inspiration from those cars and come equipped with Swiss-manufactured movements, exquisite make and sapphire crystal surfaces resistant to scratches. Some other interesting and Ferrari-related details are the majorly luminous red dials, for readability in low-light conditions, and the signature color of the racing team.
The Scuderia Ferrari Orologi line comprises six lines of watches with names clearly inspired from motorsports – Pit Crew, Heritage, Scuderia, Race Day, Paddock and Lap Time. They are purchasable from Ferrari retail stores, the online store and select wholesale distribution outlets.
