Richard Branson is an ambitious guy and whenever he has his sights set on a goal, he usually achieves it. This time, he plans to launch his very own fleet of leisure ships under the world-famous brand he founded: Virgin Cruises. The British billionaire is currently looking for investors and as soon as that part is taken care of, we can expect to see the launch of the two new Miami-based ships.

According the UAE website The National, Branson is looking for investors in the Arabian Gulf area, with the aim of raising no less than $1.7 billion for his latest business endeavor. The same source reports that the Virgin Group founder intends to make this cruise company attractive to people who wouldn’t normally consider going on a cruise, the target being the younger market.

The everything goes according to plan, the cruise line will be operational by 2019 and will be based in Miami, Florida.
