Here’s something you wouldn’t expect from Jaguar: the British carmaker, known for its luxury, high-performance vehicles, has recently teamed up with bicycle manufacturer Pinarello in order to create a hi-tech racing bike called the Dogma F8.
Jaguar isn’t exactly a stranger to the world of bicycle sports. After all, they’ve been collaborating with Team Sky (2012 and 2013 winners of the Tour de France) for some time now, providing support vehicles for their races. This time, the engineers over at the motor company have taken the frame from a Pinarello Dogma 65.1 racing bike, reshaped the frame tubes, seat post, front fork, derailleur and all the components attached to the frame, basically giving a complete aerodynamic “makeover”.
The result is the high performance Pinarello Dogma F8, 26.1% more aerodynamic than the 65.1 (which wasn’t exactly a slouch either). Which assistance of this caliber, don’t be surprised if Team Sky wins the legendary Tour de France a third time in a row.
