GoS is a company created through the partnership of bladesmith Johan Gustafsson and watchmaker Patrik Sjögren, who set out to create unique, quintessentially-Scandinavian timepieces. The result is the limited edition Nordic Seasons Gold watch series.

Damascus steel is a material famously used in the forging of the best swords in the world for thousands of years and Gustafsson draws on his experience in the field when working on these remarkable timepieces. The case is made using 18-carat gold as well as Damascus steel and is 44mm in diameter, with an n AR-coated sapphire crystal, and it is water resistant to 100 meters. Furthermore, the 9mm crown is finegrained Damascus steel, with fileworked edge and double gasket crown inset.

At its hearts lies a Swiss manual-wind ETA caliber 6498 with 17 jewels, 18,000 vph and a power reserve of 48 hours. In line with the piece’s signature feature, it has bridges made from one piece of handforged Damascus steel with a woodgrain pattern, while the mainplate is handfinished and plated with black rhodium to a dark grey nuance. The dial is layered Damascus steel with a wildflower pattern, while the hands are solid 18-carat red gold, shaped and polished by hand. Finally, the watch comes on a 22mm handcrafted soft nubuck leather strap, fitted with a GoS stainless steel buckle.

The Nordic Seasons Gold watches will be delivered in exquisite birch wood presentation boxes made using the Svepask technique, then colored with natural mixed in linseed oil and covered with high grade natural wax. Only 12 twelve of these stunning timepieces will ever be produced.
