Mohamed Hadid

Mohamed Hadid is one of the most successful real estate developers in the States, making his fortune developing some of the most luxurious mansions from Los Angeles and other high-end properties, including Ritz Carlton Hotels in Washington, New York, Aspen and Houston through his company, Hadid Design & Development Group.

He became pretty well known to the media when he first appeared on TV on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills as the uber rich friend of Lisa Vanderpump, who was kind enough to host the engagement party of Lisa’s daughter, Pandora, in one of his lavish mansions from LA.

Yolanda Foster Children

A couple of years later, when Yolanda Foster has joined the cast of the famed reality show we found out that her ex-hubby was none other than Mohamed Hadid and that together they have three kids: Gigi and Bella Hadid, two cuties who are literally taking over the modeling world as we speak and Amwar Hadid.

Yolanda and Mohamed have been married for eight years, between 1995 and 2003 and even though they split up, they still have an awesome relationship to this day. Actually, Mohamed even introduced Yolanda to her current husband, music producer David Foster, which is all kinds of cool.

After the divorce, according to court documents, Yolanda got to keep a massive $6 million Malibu home, a wonderful mansion in Santa Barbara, a couple of cars, $3,6 million in her account and also she had to receive $30,000 per month in child support, which is more than enough for a comfortable life, right? Her current hubby, David Foster, is also uber rich, with an estimated fortune of $30 million but you probably ask yourselves right now.. just how loaded is Mohamed?

Mohamed Hadid‘s net worth is estimated at $100 million, including several lavish homes, supercars and of course, his highly successful business. But Mohamed wasn’t born rich and not everyone knows how much he struggled to get here.

Born in Palestine, he moved to the USA with his family when he was just a kid, having a hard time growing up, with no friends, mostly because he was the only Arab at his school. He discovered he was really talented at painting and in time he evolved from traditional portraits to abstract works of art, which later on would help him a lot to develop some of the most beautiful properties in the States. The real estate deal with Ritz Carlton, plus the fact that he was hired to develop other incredible mansions, skyrocketed his fortune and fame.

If you look closely at Mohamed’s popular Instragam account you can see that he posts a ton of photos with his kids, proving how much he loves them and also how proud he is of their success. Bella and Gigi Hadid are quickly becoming fashion icons, posing for all sorts of renowned fashion labels from a very young age and taking over the world with their equally lovely street styles.

Their appearances at Coachella for example have been an inspiration for a lot of young girls out there, who totally love Gigi and Bella for their unique, boho-chic style and all around cuteness. In just a couple of years I’m sure that Bella and Gigi Hadid will be a lot more famous than their dad and mom.

Mohamed Hadid’s Homes

Le Belvédère Estate

Mohamed developed a lot of lavish properties but he was also the proud owner of some of the world’s most amazing dream homes. Le Belvedere Estate was one of them, an exquisite sandstone mansion nestled in Bel Air, Los Angeles, which had over 48,000 square feet of luxurious living space and even it’s own site called “The House of Hadid”.

This jaw dropping mansion has been listed for sale back in 2010, eventually selling for a staggering $50 million, which was the most expensive home sold during that year. But the real estate developer knew he could do even better, that’s why he wanted to build a palace for himself in the next years.

Crescent Palace

The Crescent Palace or Crescent Palais was his new home, built after 15 months in one of the world’s most famous zipcodes, just next to the Beverly Hills Hotel. This palace was built for Mohamed himself, but he also had the thought in mind that there would be another person who would love to buy this home one day.

The 48,000 square foot limestone mansion had all the exceptional amenities a billionaire could ask for, like a huge reception hall, a massive work display gallery, formal and informal dining rooms, a nice bar lounge, a leather paneled library, a luxurious master suite and other incredible rooms. It has seven bedrooms and 11 bathrooms in total, filled with Italian marble and the most exquisite materials.

Two years ago the Crescent Palace has been sold as well for a staggering $58 million, with Mohamed Hadid getting ready to built another masterpiece.

Strada Vecchia

Mohamed Hadid is now working on an unbelievable 30,000 square foot megamansion in Bel Air, with a stunning contemporary design featuring curved concrete, marble and glass walls and offering some of the most incredible views of the Pacific Ocean.

This luxurious property, dubbed as “Strada Vecchia” had quite a lot of problems with the LA Department of Building and Safety with his permits revoked a couple of times. But Mr. Hadid is still working on his dream mansion, which will feature the largest IMAX movie theater ever installed in a home, a massive 7,000 square foot master suite, sushi bar and many other one of a kind amenities. We’ll surely post it on Luxatic when it’s ready.

PS: Some people still confuse Mohamed Hadid with Mohammed Hadid, a successful Iraqi politician in the 1950s who was the father of the famed architect Zaha Hadid, but they are two different people.
