2013 Lotus Esprit

Lotus was one of the automakers which managed to impress everyone since the very first day of the Paris Motor Show after unveiling several new cars. One of the most important premieres made by Lotus in Paris was the 110,000 GBP Lotus Esprit revival, a beautiful sports car that leaved everyone drooling at its public debut.

The new Lotus Esprit  will go on sale in 2013 and features a striking design with an aggressive front bumper, LED daytime running lights, low and wide proportions while still retaining a level of dignity, of class and also of exclusivity as the automaker best describes it.

Dany Bahar, Chief Executive Officer of Group Lotus, said: “The 2013 Esprit is the ultimate supercar. In the past when people thought of the 2013 Esprit, they thought of the movies, Bond, Pretty Woman, Basic Instinct but this time around, the car is the star of the show.”

Under the hood this supercar will feature a supercharged 5.0L V8 engine with 550 PS/543 bhp which is connected to a seven speed paddle shift transmission. With all this power, the Esprit is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3.5 seconds.

If that’s not enough for speed addicts, Lotus will also offer an even more powerful version, the Esprit R which will have 620 PS/612 bhp to play with.
