Another brand keeping up with the Chinese Year of the Dragon is Chopard. They have recently presented the beautiful L.U.C. Tourbillon Dragon Watch. The timepiece reportedly features “movement bridges adorned with gravure á filet”, what remains of an exquisite and rare technique found in Fleurier village, in Canton Neuchâtel.
The 39.5 millimeter case comes adorned with 18-carat rose gold plating, 10.82 millimeters thick. In addition, it is covered with glare-proof sapphire crystals that prevent dust and humidity from getting inside the watch and confers it a cool look.
The 18-carat white gold six millimeter crown is the icing on the cake, with the L.U.C. logo nicely imprinted on it. Furthermore, the watch comes with 30-meter water resistance, plus an amazing 9-day power reserve, which, in terms of timekeeping, is quite representative. The luxury of the watch knows even more, on the side of precious metals.
The hands and dial face were cast from guilloche silvered 18K gold. The strap has been hand-sewn, with brown alligator leather at its base, while the pin buckle is crafted from 18K rose gold. In addition to the fact that this luxury wristwatch will surely not come cheap, it’s actually a limited edition of just 8 pieces. They’re probably already sold by now.
