Bulgari has created a truly exquisite marine-themed timepiece in the Il Giardino Marino.
The decorations displayed by the watch make it something of a work of art. It features lots of marine motifs and images: a school of fish, sea stars, coral, all over a dark blue backdrop suggesting the deep seas.
The watch (a name which, by the way, is Italian for The Sea Garden) seems to be more of a jewel than a instrument for telling the time, a clear sign of its ancestry, as Bulgari is known for the grace and beauty of its creations. It is nevertheless a timepiece we’re talking about, with a gold crown set with a rubellite stone and double sapphire crystals, as well as the Swiss automatic Bulgari in-house caliber BVL 263 beating at 21,600 vph and a tourbillion with 40 jewels.
Bulgari’s Il Giardino Marino comes with a 37mm case in 18-carat rose gold either with or without a set of 36 cut diamonds. As a final touch of elegance, there’s the blue alligator leather strap with an 18-carat rose gold pin buckle. This exclusive watch was released as a limited edition, with only 50 pieces for each version being available for purchase.
