Porsche are currently working on a couple of upgrade programs for their supercars. One of their works, the brand new Powerkit, is created for the 911 Carrera S, as part of their own Exclusive personalization program, while the Sport Design and Aerokit Cup are aimed towards the looks of the cars.
In terms of performance, Porsche’s engineers have drawn out 430 HP (316 kW) from the 3.8-liter boxer engine, 30 HP more than the stock. This allows the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 4 seconds, with PDK in Sport Plus mode. The 911 Carrera S can reach a maximum speed of 306 km/h with PDK and 308 km/h with an on-mounted 7-speed manual gearbox.
There’s absolutely no negative consumption increase, even though the engine’s output has been increased by more than 7 percent. This was possible thanks to the tuning and remapping of the ECU.
At a more intimate approach, the Powerkit sports new camshafts, new variable resonance intake system, a supplementary centre radiator and new cylinder heads. In addition, there’s the sports exhaust system with commendable sound volume control and Sport Chrono package that provides dynamic engine mounts.
Although the 911 Carrera S equipped with these settings is quite powerful and eye-catching, the only feature that lets out the Powerkit upgrade is the titanium colored engine cover.
The looks of the 911 Carrera S can also undergo a few changes through brand new aerodynamic body components like a front apron with air intakes from the Sport Design package and a ducktail rear spoiler. In addition, one can opt for the Aerokit Cup as well, which includes an additional fixed rear wing over the rear spoiler plus a one of a kind front spoiler lip with additional air intakes.
We can’t tell you exactly how much these changes may cost, although, Porsche being in discussion, they may be quite pricy.
