A stunning piece from the Swiss watch manufacturer Girard-Perregaux, miles away from the previous Centennial and Zegna Monterubello, the Ermenegildo Zegna High Performance Sea Diver Watch was conceived and crafted in tight collaboration with the Italian fashion house Ermenegildo Zegna.
Bits and pieces that discreetly remind of Girard-Perregaux’s Sea Hawk dive watch are present all over this particular model, which doesn’t really come as a surprise, though. It sports a 42 millimeter steel case with unidirectional bezel, trimmed with an elegant blackened aluminum insert.
There’s also an EZ marking on the crown that will permanently remind of the origins and ideas of this piece. Furthermore, the hour and minute indicators have been intriguingly shaped like a snakehead, respectively a sword. The “High Performance” and “300M / 1000FT” markings have been imprinted in double red, to stand out in a tridimensional way from the black dial.
The dial on the other hand is less rough; it’s actually finely textured and smoothly crafted. The model is currently available at a price of 2,800 CHF / €2,500 or around $3,000 at today’s exchange rates. Quite a beauty, isn’t it?
