Caviar is commonly renowned as being one of the most exclusive and at the same time expensive foods of today, yet it can still surprise. There are four different types of caviar – Sterlet, Sevruga, Ossetra and Beluga. The most expensive and rarest of the lot come from the beluga sturgeons swimming throughout the Caspian Sea.

The interesting part follows – we’re now featuring the most expensive caviar in the world. The Almas Caviar comes from an incredibly rare Iranian Beluga Sturgeon fished from the Caspian Sea, of an estimated age of around 70 years. Besides this sort of exclusivity, there’s something more – they are incredibly delicious, creamy, delicate and come wrapped in a 24-carat gold tin.

In terms of costs, a kilogram of these beauties costs a humongous $25,000, or $11,000 per pound. In case or willing to buy an ounce, get your pockets prepared – it’ll set you back $700.
