With the release of the highly-exclusive AsomBroso “The Collaboration”, AsomBroso Tequila has created a special new sub-class in the tequila brands market called the Ultra-Premium Double Barrel Rested Anejo – and it’s just as impressive as its mouthful of a name makes it sound.
This unique 11-year-old, double-barreled, Cabernet Sauvignon Anejo that has been rested exclusively in Silver Oak American Oak barrels and is presented in an exquisite crystal decanter hand-blown by Italian artist Luciano Gambaro, which in turn sits in a polished humidor on a laser-engraved pedestal. The tequila itself features notes of honey and oak with hints of caramel and butterscotch, with has a smooth dark chocolate finish.
Part of an ultra-premium line of tequilas which includes “El Carbonzado” (vintage 11-year tequila double-barrel rested in Tennessee whisky barrels), “Del Porto” (an award-winning cache of 11-year reposado tequila rested in port barrels from Portugal), and “Black Pearl,” set to be released in early spring 2015, “The Collaboration” is priced at a cool $1,800. That makes it one of the most expensive tequilas in the world.
All customers of AsomBroso tequilas also earn membership to The Agave Club, which provides tequila 101 classes, shares news of new releases and tequila trends, and offers periodic specials. All in all, it’s an excellent deal for tequila enthusiasts.
