Anxious about hearing of a brand new superyacht from the Turkish naval yard Bilgin Yachts? This staggering beauty has been named M&M and measures 48.8 meters in length. Part of the Bilgin 160 Classic series it was unveiled at the 2012 Festival de la Plaisance in Cannes.

Thing is, it’s usually the opulence that drives us insane when stumbling upon maritime splendors like this. Even though there’s clearly a lot of opulence into the M&M, it’s not this that makes it special – it’s the style, that fabulous design. A clearly classic appearance, reminiscent of styles from the past, M&M is elegant, traditional, deeply in love to the sea and as sleek as it can get.

The welcoming section is the aft deck – a cozy place with large fixed sofas and a stunning al fresco dining area centered by a pretty big, oval-shaped table. Clearly introducing a fabulous atmosphere, the aft deck is just the beginning. The main saloon is quite a respectable spot, featuring luxurious, curvy furniture, a delicate lighting scheme and richly applied luxurious woodwork.

This fabulous garnish is completed by a mix of creamy carpeting, ruby red velvet curtains, maple would cabinetry, furnishing and paneling, as well as grey upholstery. The main saloon sports a formal dining fore and a central L-shaped lounge. The dining comprises a large, oval wooden table surrounded by plush dining chairs, while the lounge has been fitted with big armchairs.

Heading forward, through the central lobby, the massive owner’s suite unveils. It boasts a marvelous stateroom with panoramic views, fore, wardrobe and private office. The stateroom itself is quite romantic, sporting a tufted violet headboard, elegant woodwork throughout and curvy chaise longue. Furthermore, the en suite is endowed with a large shower area, marble finishing, loads of freshness and a massive bathtub.

Heading downstairs, we’ll stumble upon the other guest quarters which can accommodate up to 12 guests. There are the full beam VIP quarters, with lounge areas and office, adjacent to four additional gorgeously appointed suites. There’s a large bathroom for the VIP suite, while the others got large shower areas. The palettes of colors the designers have chosen are as shocking as they are special – they vary between powder pink and fresh apple green. Arrangements-wise, the guest cabins are divided into two twins and two doubles.

Heading upstairs, the upper saloon is ready to meet the guests with its welcoming and cozy atmosphere. Classical by nature and fitted of massive, more contemporary furnishing, the upper lounge is a great place for special occasions. The large lounge sports a big sofa alongside three armchairs, shaping up a pleasant space, fit for movie nights or cocktail meetings.

The foredeck includes a gorgeous, intimate breakfast and lounge area, featuring two fixed sofas paired with two small coffee tables. The panoramic views are the best features here. And when you step towards the stunning sun deck, with its cozy sunloungers, surrounded by nothing but the sea, the experience aboard the M&M gets to an astonishing level.
