The gorgeous 77 meter superyacht Smeralda was released on water during the spring of 2012. It is reportedly the largest superyacht ever built in Australia and bears the hand of the acclaimed designer Espen Øino. Its interiors were penned down by Andreas Holnburger of Vain Interiors, German designers extremely renowned in their business.
Part of the Silver Series, an award-winning collection of superyachts, it is the most advanced addition to the series, sister vessel to the 73.3 meter long Silver, now appointed Rabdan, finished in 2007, and to the Silver Zwei, currently named Dragonfly, launched in 2009. Its sleekness and superbly flowing lines are signatures for the series she’s part of, ensuring good looks, efficiency and stunning performance.
The Smeralda can reach the impressive maximum speed of 30 knots and a respectable autonomy of 4,500 nautical miles (in excess of 8330 km) on a fuel tank, with a cruising speed of 18 knots, thanks to its high fuel consumption efficiency. This is also possible thanks to its light weight aluminum hull, a tradition among the Silver Series.
The guests will be absolutely staggered when getting aboard the superyacht. An aft deck lounging area guards the boarding place – a highly relaxing spot, decked in a contemporary style and providing panoramic views. It sports two facing U-shaped sofas, a fully equipped bar and lavish aft sun pads, ensuring guests with a superb atmosphere to lie and rest within.
A dining area has been arranged adjacently, with chic wraparound sliding doors for stunning lightness and an overwhelming sensation of freedom. The same area has also been equipped with highly efficient air conditioning systems, aiding it in serving as either an al fresco dining area or an elegant, enclosed dining facility.
In addition, the aft beach club, placed at sea level, provides enough entertainment to every guest onboard through parties and social gatherings, or can serve as a spa. As it is trimmed with teak and white tones, it can perfectly fit such purposes, being transformable into a seaside resort with hair dressing area, massage room, beauty salon, gym or an 8 person sauna.
Going through the dining area, guests can reach the luxurious grand main saloon, a superb area with custom finishes, refined Italian décors, contemporary amenities and state of the art, rare materials and essences. Its design makes the best out of the length of the room, parallel to the central axis of the vessel, and provides enough space and luxury for the owner and his friends.
The same main saloon is further divided into a lavish lounge area fore and a library area aft, with sliding doors in between. Consisting of stunning substances like high gloss lacquered American walnut wall paneling and cream colored plush carpeting, the contrasts visible inside this area are truly staggering.
The library unveils around a modern, warm beige leather sofa, plus a set of big ottomans, alongside starboard-placed integrated bookshelves and a huge, plasma TV near a sleek cabinet, port side. The main lounge area, on the other hand, revolves around a huge setup of U-shaped sofas, mediated by elegant glass-topped tables.
Guests can take advantage of the array of sumptuous guest staterooms that can accommodate up to 22 people, owner included. They are divided into three lavish VIP staterooms on the fore decks and a total of 6 twin cabins, found on the lower decks, of which two are equipped with additional Pullman.
Every stateroom boasts with its own en suite bathroom, with separate shower areas, decked with square tiles of an array of tones and glitters. The owner’s main accommodation is found on the upper deck – an extremely luxurious and magnificent spot consisting of a large stateroom fore, with windows all around, large, raised lounging pads fore, placed in an intimate atmosphere, framed by stunning panoramas.
In addition, it boasts with large walk-in wardrobes, a secluded, private office area, two immensely beautiful bathrooms with his and her spots, with lush monsoon shower area and a stunning palette of tones.
