The Monaco Grand Prix is without a doubt one of the most popular races in the Formula 1 calendar and one of the prestigious racing events in the world. First held in 1929, the 72nd running of the Grand Prix will be held this year from May 22 to 25, as always, on the meandering streets of Monte Carlo.
Motorsport aficionados have various options at their disposal if they want to see the race, from grandstand seating, to private terrace suites overlooking the circuit. However the yacht brokerage and charter firm Floating Life has one of the more interesting opportunities, offering two of its boats, Ocean Emerald and Ocean Sapphire, for charter during the event.
Constructed between 2009 and 2011, both 135-foot yachts feature a bold, futuristic design – but it’s way in which you can take advantage of the decks and the interior that really matters here. The ships have 2,500-square-feet of exterior space, while the interiors boast extensive floor-to-ceiling walls, providing great panoramic views and lots of natural light – all of this means that as many as 12 guests can enjoy this one-of-a-kind event, in comfort and in style. On the other hand, the full beam owner’s suites feature two outdoor terraces, providing the perfect opportunity to watch the race in a more private setting, if you are so inclined.
The Ocean Emerald and Ocean Sapphire are both available for charter during the Monaco Grand Prix for a weekly base rate of about $180,000.
