Swiss luxury watch manufacturer has unveiled its new Aquatic Watch, a glittering piece featuring no fewer than 1937 diamonds and sapphires, guaranteed to illuminate the wrist of the luxuriously minded lady lucky enough to own one.
Showcased for the first time during this year’s Baselworld, this stunning timepiece boasts a multitude of perfectly cut baguette diamonds in Top Wesselton white and lively blue sapphires, weighing a total of 43.73kts.
The case is made from 18kt white gold, while the bracelet comes in a fan-shaped design and each diamond is cut in such a way as to fit perfectly wherever its place might be on the piece. The baguette diamonds found on the upper side of the bracelet and the dial are actually invisibly set, which is not only extremely challenging, but also quite a risky way to set gems – a testament, really, to the skill of the watchmakers over at Patek Philippe.
