The largest convertible yacht built by Mulder Shipyard, the fabled Dutch yacht manufacturer, is the Mulder Convertible 72. It is renowned for its elegance, style, many iPad-controllable features (like the audio-video system, lighting and blinds), high performance and a stunning, lightweight design.
The design of the vessel was penned down by Vripack, while its interiors were conceived by Guido de Groot. Based on the lines of the previous Mulder 68 Convertible but 22 meters larger, the Mulder 72 Convertible was recently delivered to its glamorous owner. Worth mentioning, Germanischer Lloyds have certified the cruiser’s sturdy aluminum hull.
Powered by a set of twin Caterpillar C18 motors which deliver 1,018 HP each, the yacht boasts with an efficiently designed engine room. The power plants enable the cruiser to reach a whopping top speed of 26 knots, while its luxurious spirit is highlighted by the high-gloss stainless steel exhaust system. In addition, it sports a round-bilged hull with spray rails, plus a set of stabilizers which provide the best in comfort and stability.
Its design was realized in intimate collaboration with the owner, especially the high gloss Makassar and state of the art oak-finished interiors, with an entire array of luxury items and large, cozy leather sofas. Aft, the crew accommodation and the lavish owner’s cabin can be found, while fore, the architect has placed a guest cabin.
The exterior of the yacht catches the eyes with its two-tone paintjob, while the decks are garnished with all sorts of stainless steel accessories and Estec. Aft, a large garage that serves as home to a 3.5 meter tender with jet propulsion can be accessed via a hydraulic door.
There’s also the wheels house, decked with a large skylight with automatic blinds that allows huge amounts of light to enter the saloon, plus a large, sliding roof that can be retracted or closed hydraulically.
