Swiss luxury watchmaker Maurice Lacroix has given its Pontos S chronograph something of a makeover, adding some aggressive styling attributes and a size augmentation, giving the new model the moniker “Supercharged”. Adding 5mm to the Pontos S and the Pontos S Extreme’s 43mm case, it’s quite the upgrade.
The red detailing with steel case might look familiar for those who know the Pontos S line, but the yellow with black PVD case is certainly something new.The model’s most eye-catching feature, however, is the knurled chrono pushers and the bezel edge. It’s a great detail underscoring this timepiece’s rugged, aggressive look.
The ETA Valgranges-based caliber is a quite substantial 37 mm in diameter, taking advantage of the Suparcharged’s 48 mm case.
The Pontos S Supercharged will be showcased at Baselworld, starting at the end of March. Maurice Lacroix has not made any announcement regarding this new model’s price.
