Once again the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG falls into the hands of car tuners, this time the snatcher being the German tuning firm Kicherer. They have carefully tended to the supercar’s performance and looks, mounting a supercharger to its engine and enabling the monster to deliver 700 HP and 840 Nm of torque.
This is why the Kicherer Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Supercharged GT accelerates from a standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.4 seconds and reaches a top speed in excess of 300 km/h (186 mph).
The body kit chosen to fit the vehicle is entirely crafted from carbon fiber, featuring a 1952 300 SL Carrera Panamericana-like front grille, a rear diffuser, superb fins on the front fenders, new bonnet and a front spoiler lip. Finished in an eye-catching matte black paint, the car looks truly staggering.
The supercharger was developed particularly in-house and had required minor changes to the engine. The pressure inside the gadget is displayed in the cockpit, in analogue or digital on the tachometer. There’s also the possibility of addition telemetry data courtesy of Kicherer’s special smartphone app.
Furthermore, the specialists behind the fabled aftermarket brand have also mounted a unique stainless steel sports exhaust system, coilover suspension which can lower the ride by up to 30 mm and brand new wheels measuring 21 inches in diameter at the rear and 20 inches at the front. Sadly, there’s no info on the price.
