The world renowned aircraft manufacturer Cessna recently revealed their newest business-jet prototype – the Citation M2. The plane acts as an inter-link between the Mustang class and the MJ, presenting brand new technologies and a stunning new look to the enthusiasts.
Designed to act as a fast business transporter, intra- or inter-continental, it’s perfect for businessmen that need to attend urgent meetings – the cruising speed of around 400 knots and the permanent connection easily makes it possible. The aircraft can carry up to 6 passengers and 2 crew members over 2,408 km without stop, courtesy of the Garmin G3000 avionics suite.
Of course, to please the most squeamish of the business people, the plane is fitted with a long list of amenities, among which we mention the smartphone charging ports, wi-fi internet access, multi-functional touch screen entertainment and control systems, weather radar and the advanced TAWS (Terrain Awareness Warning System).
Other useful stuff to mention are the leather upholstery and washrooms with sturdy doors. These come as standard with the plane and fit the most extravagant of clientele. The plane is extremely agile, with a very short take-off distance of only 3,250 feet, suitable for even the shortest of runways.
For a safe and comfortable landing, the craft needs only around 2,640 feet of space. All these are possible thanks to the slick fuselage and the FJ44-1AP 21 engine that has a flight thrust of 1,965 lbs and can get the jet to 41,000 feet in 24 minutes max. This means better flight-comfort and low traffic interaction, thus enhancing the safety-factor.
The price for all these is set at $4.2 million, without taxes and client-made customizations. Businessmen that order this plane will receive it by the spring of 2013.
