The beating heart of New York City, Manhattan, has always been the place to be – a thin, long island filled with history, iconic streets, a breathtaking skyline and renowned sights that we all should check out, at least once in a lifetime.
Manhattan represents New York, and probably the entire US in a way, and even if you’d stay here for an entire month, it still won’t be enough to check it all out. You’ll need a break once in a while, from all that sightseeing, and luckily for us you could enjoy a great coffee in the world’s most incredible Starbucks pretty soon, right here.
Manhattan will soon become the home of the largest Starbucks store ever, located on 61 Ninth Avenue, in the Meatpacking district, a breathtaking place with a two-level social area, offering 20,000 sq. feet of space to savor all your favorite coffee aromas.
Coffee roasting, manufacturing, education and retail will be inspired by the first Starbucks Reserve Roastery and Tasting Room in Seattle, Washington, and if that doesn’t sound delicious then we really don’t know what will!
This is much more than a simple coffee place, as the retail environment has become the single best retail experience; no one could expect this. New York will see the biggest and boldest statement Starbucks has ever made; think of it as a coffee celebration, if you will.
A new building, designed by Rafael Viñoly, is scheduled for opening sometime in 2018. This means there’s plenty of time left for the brand to tease us and make us drool in expectation; but I doubt anyone feels upset about that.
