Back in 2007, Dutch shipyard Heesen Yachts has unveiled a 37-metre all aluminium beauty for the high seas, a sleek motor yacht called Ilona. It was a yacht that was highly appreciated from day one but eight years later the guys from Heesen have decided to take Ilona to a completely new level, refitting this vessel completely and turning it into state of the art yacht.
Launched in London just a couple of days ago, the new Ilona comes with a sophisticated look and a gorgeous snow white hull, which looks a lot better than the previous, dark hull. Heesen Yachts has teamed up with Omega Architects for the new interior design and also for the new exterior look, making this yacht a lot more modern and luxurious than it was a couple of years ago.
Set to accommodate up to 12 guests in total comfort and ultimate luxury, the new Ilona comes with five cabins on board, including a full beam owner’s suite. Located on the main deck just forward of the salon, the master cabin features a comfortable seating area, a nice walk-in wardrobe, flat screen tv and an exquisite en-suite cabin with a large walk-in shower and his and hers facilities.
Inside, everything is tastefully decorated, with cream sofas, dark bamboo flooring and cherry wood cabinets and panelling in the main salon. The refitting process also involved installing state-of-the-art entertainment systems with a kaleidescape system that could be accessed from the main salon, master cabin and also on the aft deck.
The sun deck has been also revamped, featuring a gorgeous Jacuzzi area with large sun pads now and also an impressive outdoor gym equipped with a treadmill, weights and pull up bars.
