Turkish shipyard Mengi Yay is currently working on a 36.5-meter superyacht called NB 89. The vessel was designed by Dutch-based Ginton Naval Architects and is due to be launched in September 2014.
Construction started in July 2013, with this RINA-certified boat featuring an elegant hull and superstructure, both made of wood. The hull itself has three layers of cross coating, while the keel, wale, and posts were printed in epoxy-laminate system. Of course, all ply wood used has the “marine” certificate.
The NB 89 is expected to reach speeds of up to 24 knots, thanks to its sleek design, as well as its twin 1925 bhp engines. Accommodations include one spacious master cabin and four equally comfortable guest cabins. In addition to this, there’s also a fully equipped kitchen on the main deck, as well as an airy saloon with enough room for a sizeable party.
