UXUA Casa Hotel & Spa: Luxury Where the Atlantic Meets the Rainforest

UXUA Casa Hotel & Spa has all the makings of an excellent tropical paradise retreat. Located in Trancoso, a small fishing village in the Brazilian state of Bahia, where the Atlantic Ocean meets the rainforest, it a place where time has seemingly stopped, allowing you to just kick back and enjoy the simple life.

The resort is made up of ten unique casas, individual homes built and decorated by local artists, using traditional building methods and recycled materials. The place, however, is anything but ordinary. The cozy, rustic interiors are enhanced with high-end, modern amenities, such as WiFi, satellite TV, king-size beds, and even Jacuzzis. Guests looking for a comfortable stay in an atmosphere or natural serenity will certainly appreciate this style, dubbed rustic modernism.

Cooking is a veritable social event at UXUA: the hotel’s main kitchen is an open space, where guests can interact with the chefs and even sample what’s cooking. Ingredients are sourced from the resort’s own garden or the local organic farms, so you can be certain the meals are not only very tasty, for also very healthy as well. And since we’ve mentioned paradise earlier, the spot which deserves this description more than any other is UXUA’s Almescar Spa, featuring multiple signature therapies designed to relax and rejuvenate.
