British carmaker Trident has recently announced the release of its impressive new model called Iceni.

Quite surprisingly for a sports car, the Iceni comes with a V8 6.6-liter turbodiesel engine, which makes it the world’s fastest diesel sports car – at least according to its manufacturer. The powerplant develops 395 bhp and 700 lb-ft of torque, enabling it to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 3.7 seconds and reach a top speed of over 190 mph. There are also optional performance packages available for those who want to get more out of their vehicle, as well as optional luxury upgrades.

The Trident Iceni boasts a maximum range of 2,000 miles on a single tank, which can be filled with mineral diesel or bio-diesel (cooking oil, virgin rapeseed, linseed, palm, soya bean oil, kerosene and paraffin).

Pricing for the vehicle starts off at £96,000 (about $160,000) and can go as high as £126,000 (over $210,000) for the full-option model.
