Tramontana XTR model will come with 888 horsepower!
The car will reportedly be a two-seater, with the driver located in front of the passenger. Both the driver and the passenger are being enclosed in a curiously nice glass bubble that looks like something sent from the far future.
The bonnet, though, will hide an earthly 5.5-liter V12 Mercedes-Benz twin-turbo engine that will reportedly deliver no less than 888 HP (662 kW) and 980 Nm (722 lb-ft) of torque. The ponies will get to the rear wheels thanks to an “ultra-rapid competition gearbox” that announces itself to be quite a thigh-tech one.
The weight of this beast will be staggeringly low, as the builder declared, a whopping 3,000 lbs (1,360 kg). This will reportedly lead to a maximum speed of 344 km/h (214 mph) and an acceleration from naught to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds.
There are also its aerodynamical characteristics and chassis upgrades that aid it towards reaching those numbers – a new front end with new spoiler and headlights, alongside a new rear diffuser and redesigned spoiler. Its price tag will reportedly start at $514,000 (€420,000), due to be available by the end of 2012.
