Yamaha PES2

Harley-Davidson has got itself some competition, as Yamaha is planning on hitting the electric motorcycle market with this striking concept. Set to roll out onto the streets starting in 2016, the Yamaha PES2 concept is an evolution of the PES1, featuring more power and outstanding overall looks.

Looking like it’s coming straight out of a Sci-Fi movie, this sleek bike is much more than a design study. You see, each wheel hides a brushless motor within, while power is provided by a removable battery pack, called a Smart Power Module.

According to the manufacturer, this pack will allow the owner to easily charge the battery indoors – which should come in handy if customers will be able to purchase extra battery packs in the future.

The overall look of the Yamaha PES2 is all kinds of amazing, showing off a silver, gray and white colorway. The sleek bike also benefits from wheels with blue accents, resulting in a wonderful contrast with the rest of them appealing looks.

As mentioned before, Yamaha promises to put this concept into production as soon as possible and can only hope it’s going to be ready in 2016. No further info available at this time, something that also applies to a possible price-tag. Judging by the looks of things, most of us will agree with whatever sum Yamaha comes up with. Am I right?
