Laurence Graff, the renowned diamond merchant and founder of Graff Diamonds, just made history by unveiling the extraordinary Graff Venus, an incredible 118.78-carat D flawless heart-shaped diamond that could easily take your breath away. Named after the Roman goddess of Love, the Graff Venus happens to be the largest D Flawless heart shape diamond in the world, and that’s saying a lot.

But what’s even more interesting is that half of the world’s largest and most exceptional diamonds found in the past century have been refined by Graff. This one in particular, has started from a 357-carat rough diamond, with the Graff Venus taking 18 months to create, featuring a gorgeous heart shape that’s exceptionally demanding to obtain.

Considering the outrageous size of the diamond, the specialists at Graff had to develop a bespoke tool first, in order to work on precision cutting, and after all that painstaking work the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) classified the stone as D Flawless.

To put it simply, this is probably the most incredible and magnificent diamond we’ve ever seen, and it will probably get most ladies over excited.  Who could keep their calm with such a beauty in front? A wonderful by-product of the process was a number of 22 smaller diamonds, ranging from 15.01 carats down to 0.5 carats, but we already know which one you’d prefer.
