Nestled in the heart of South Africa’s mesmerizing wine country, Sir Richard Branson’s Mont Rochelle Hotel & Vineyard is an intimate and luxurious retreat, perfect to escape the busy life and relax in a breathtaking scenery.

This lovely boutique hotel is just an hour away from Cape Town, right in the Franschhoek Valley, and it’s surrounded by scenic rocky peaks and rows of grape vines that go on for kilometres. The hotel might have just 22 rooms, but they’re all absolutely stunning, designed with a personal touch and mixing elegance with luxury and comfort.

From every room or suite you could enjoy staggering views of the mountains or the beautiful vineyard but if you could book one of the luxury bedrooms from the Vineyard wing you could even have your own private garden, where you chill all day long.

Since you’re in the Cape wineland country, the hotel’s most important feature is its unique wine tasting facility where you can sip and sample the vineyard’s finest wines and learn about the various grapes grown around this hotel. You could even get a private tour of the wine cellar, guided and hosted by the winemaker.

The Miko Restaurant is another attraction of this hotel, where you can enjoy some of the finest dishes in South Africa and the Colonial Bar is the perfect place for light snacks and a drink. Let’s not forget the gorgeous pool that makes Mont Rochelle even more incredible. I’d love to spend at least a couple of nights here!
