Paris Navigating Gym Project

Italian innovation and design firm Carlo Ratti Associati has revealed a new incredible project, one that I’m very excited to write about, since I’m a fitness instructor myself. The Paris Navigating Gym Project is an exclusive human-powered boat, set to sail along the Seine river in Paris, which means it comes with more benefits than one.

Developed as a collaborative initiative, this wonderful design proposal approaches long-time issues regarding the locals urban and public infrastructure. More than that, aside from the unique way of sightseeing or traveling from point A to point B in the French capital, this boat is also environmentally friendly, as it only works based on human strength and burned calories.

This concept might prove to be a unique opportunity: to visit one of the world’s most beautiful cities, check out some of the most important sights here, and workout and improve your health at the same time.

The Paris Navigating Gym Project benefits from the involvement of fitness manufacturing company Technogym, the non-profit terreform ONE organization and the urban regeneration institute URBEM. The project aims to demonstrate the potential of human energy for vehicular powering. Read the full info here on energy and power boosters.

At 20 meters long, the ‘fitness vessel’ will accommodate 45 individuals and features a distinct series of ARTIS fitness equipment, courtesy of Technogym. Furthermore, fitness enthusiasts can keep track of their energy data and the outdoor conditions thanks to an augmented reality screen that displays real-time information.

Things look more balanced than ever since no one can abstain themselves from indulging in French cuisine and its delicious treats. It’s a win-win situation with this wonderful concept! If you’re interested in fitness, why not take a look at some personal training courses with Discovery learning.
