The new Naka Island Resort in Phuket, Thailand

Naka Yai, an island in the southern Thailand, just off the coast of Phuket, will host a grand-opening during the 1st of November. Starwood Hotels & Resorts will present the Naka Island to the public, a boutique resort with 67 villas that are packed with private lounge pools, a spa-facility and tropical gardens.

There are a lot of activities that can take place on the island. Depending on each tourist’s mood, they can do snorkeling, biking, water sports, hiking or they can relax in the spa and on the marvelous sandy beaches. The 100 sq km island is located just 25 km minutes away from Phuket International Airport, or a 5-minute speedboat-ride. The access around the resort is extremely easy; one can travel by boat, foot or bike. The natural setting is what makes the island special and everything here is based on it.

The extravagance of the place is highlighted by the facilities it comprises. Given the fact that the resort offers private plunge pools, sala pavilion, large outdoor space and open-air bathrooms for every villa, we can say that it is a great place for living as well as holidays. Furthermore, every villa will also feature an indoor sound-system, comprehensive library and a breathtaking view over the Phuka Island and Phang Nga Bay. There are also an all-day-dining restaurant called Tonsai on the waterfront, an open beach-side grill house – My Grill – that offers seafood and stakes with Thai seasonings and an extensive wine-cellar – Z Bar.
