The New McLaren 570S GT4 Teases Racing Purists

It’s official: McLaren has revealed their new racer, the extraordinary 570S GT4. Based on the Sports Series, McLaren has actually developed two track-only supercars, the 570S Sprint and the 570S GT4, both of them being designed in conjunction with the motorsport division of McLaren and GT specialists CRS GT.

According to McLaren, the new GT4-spec model is still not ready, although you should know that the development program will include a season-long participation in the British GT championship. Speaking of which, the customer team Black Bull Ecurie Ecosse will be putting the car through its paces, since McLaren intends to develop the car in live race environments.

The McLaren 570S Sprint will be unrestricted by racing regulations, although customers may upgrade their Sprint into a full-on GT4 spec at any time. The GT4’s overall aesthetic lines make use carbon fiber and aluminum, while the suspension system now employs two-way adjustable dampers, with coil-over springs.  The unique aerodynamic package features a large fixed rear wing and a larger front splitter.

Putting the car to work is a powerful twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 engine, connected to the seven-speed double-clutch gearbox we all know. This piece of news is incredible as it brings forth the opportunity bring the opportunity to own and race a track-oriented McLaren.
