Science fiction fans will get a kick out of this one, especially since Star Wars recently blew everyone else out of the water at Comic-Con. MB&F’s Maximilian Busser is joining in on the Star Wars conversation, by introducing a mechanical tribute to one of everyone’s favorite films.

Celebrating the 10th anniversary of independent watch development, MB&F has designed yet another ultra-modern and highly stylized musical machine called MB&F MusicMachine3. This new MB&F marvel is not about telling time, but about enjoying sound.

The music machines are of course mechanical, and wound up like a watch, with every single components finished by hand, but they are even more impressive than a complicated timepiece. The result of collaboration with REUGE, the MusicMachine 3 (MM3) is flying towards you right out of the future.

MB&F’s highly limited music box is a mechanical wonder, and if that wasn’t enough it comes in the shape of the Imperial fleet’s TIE fighters. REUGE built for MB&F two revolving cylinders that pluck a selection of 72 notes on a steel comb, allowing you to savor the Star Wars theme song through the amplifying resonant base.

It’s worth mentioning that MB&F’s latest musical spaceship plays themes from other movies as well, including Mission Impossible (1960), James Bond (1962), The Godfather (1972), Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence (1983), and The Persuaders (1971). I doubt you’ll find anything cooler than the MM3, and to be honest with you: why try?
