The luxurious Gili Lankanfushi Resort in the Maldives

Gili Lankanfushi was constructed on a practically virgin island in the North Male Atoll, on the Island of Lankanfushi, in the superb Maldives Archipelago. The tropical climate, the unexplored land and the azure tone of the Indian Ocean make out a stunning setting, one of the best places in the world to lounge and dream.

The resort comprises a total of 45 stilted villas that appear to be floating on a lagoon which encases this miniature atoll. The majority of the villas at Gili Lankanfushi are interconnected with jetties, while the 7 detached Crusoe residences, strictly accessible by boat, are aimed towards guests that mostly value privacy and serenity.

The best idea behind this exquisite resort it that it sort of combines the powers of human imagination with natural elements, ensuring an atmosphere which is pure to the maximum. Based on this, every villa at this resort is self-sustainable and traditionally built, with natural materials like thick beams of wood, combining contemporary comfort with rustic styles.

Guests may either get to the main shore, to enjoy East-meets-West fusion fare at one of the resort’s small restaurants, or can either choose to enjoy a meal prepared under their eyes, on the deck of their villa. There’s also a local diving school for those who fancy these sorts of sports, or superb snorkeling options, through the azure waters of the ocean.

In addition, tourists can also windsurf, can practice their deep-sea fishing skills or, ultimately, savor a Coconut Rub at the over water spa, courtesy of Gili Lankanfushi. The nightly price tag starts at $468 (€372), depending on customers’ trifles.
