The Hautlence Playground Labyrinth Takes You To The Ball Game

The Hautlence Playground Labyrinth is supposed to be a watch, although it doesn’t have any mechanical components. This might just be the world’s most expensive ball maze game, featuring a stylish strap for taking it everywhere.

According to Hautlence’s CEO, Sandro Reginelli, the Labyrinth ‘watch’ acts as a reminder of out-dated games from our childhood, but it looks more like a piece of modern, wearable art. If you were to judge a book by its covers, as the content seems to be missing, this is a stylish, useless and head-turning object; that sounds like art to us. But what happens once the short conversations have ended? Awkward.

The dial of the Hautlence Playground Labyrinth is really interesting, there’s no doubt about that, and the totally original case comes in brushed and polished titanium, while the ball maze itself is produced in either 18k rose gold (Labyrinth 01 model) or white gold (Labyrinth 02 model).

The ball is either made out of 18k rose gold, or solid platinum. There is something mechanical about this watch though – a small “mechanical lift” that brings the ball back to the dial once you ‘win’ the game.

The Hautlence Playground Labyrinth will be a fine addition to art collections, and the 12,000 Swiss francs price-tag proves it. Hautlence will produce the Playground Labyrinth 01 and 02 watches in a limited edition of just 18 units each.
