The Gordon & MacPhail Whisky Is All About Traditional Taste

The Gordon & MacPhail Whisky Is All About Traditional Taste

Edinburgh agency Contagious collaborated with Gordon & MacPhail to design a modern interpretation of traditional whisky packaging.

Recently launched at The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, this tasty liquid spent 75 years maturing in darkness, waiting for a new generation to enjoy its flavor in probably the most beautiful whisky bottle one could ever imagine.

It all started with an elegant teardrop-shaped crystal decanter, that was hand-blown, a step ahead from the whisky maker’s Generations range of which Mortlach 75 is the newest release.

Contagious appealed to master craftsmen to create the 75 ribbon-like channels, hand-cut into the crystal of each of the 100 limited-edition and numbered decanters. Each of these dreamy whisky bottles was then packaged into a luxurious Aniline leather travel bag, perfect for the sophisticated travelers. A true treat for our eyes and taste buds!
