Galactica Super Nova

The acclaimed Netherlands–based shipyard Heesen Yachts has recently launched the highly anticipated Galactica Super Nova yacht, a marvelous vessel that’s also known by the code name Project Kometa. The superyacht has been inspired by the Galactica Star, showing off an impressive 229-foot hull, which makes it Heesen Yachts’ largest ship – and the fastest in its size.

Thanks to its sleek profile and by making use of the fast-displacement-hull technology, this beautiful yacht is able to reach a top speed of 30 knots. The main deck’s stern has been equipped with a stunning waterfall and a glass-bottomed swimming pool, which allows more natural light to reach the beach club below.

Galactica Super Nova also comes with a helipad that doubles as an outdoor cinema, complete with a pop-up movie screen, making nights on this vessel a lot more entertaining than others. There are also a variety of tenders and toys in the package, including an amphibious Quadski, allowing passengers to have fun in more ways than one on the open waters.

Accommodating up to 12 guests in six tastefully decorated staterooms, this yacht will showcase a creamy color palette inside, with leather, steel, wood, and onyx accents and a spiraling central staircase and elevator that will surely charm everyone.

The Galactica Super Nova is set for delivery May 2016, but we could all admire it live if we could get to this year’s Monaco Yacht Show this fall.
