The exquisite glass blown chandeliers from LU Murano

The chandeliers from LU Murano are contemporary works of art – the result of never ending experiments and the perfect balance between glass and light. They’re hand made and shaped by blowing by Master Gabio Forsanier, who’s responsible for taking these exclusive chandeliers to new levels of elegance and refinement with every new creation.

The brand’s collection includes a lot of magnificent models, completely transparent and available in different sizes and in more than 20 different colors. But with every new creation this delightful collection is expanding, discovering new shapes and wonderful combinations that are both revolutionary and traditional.

The cLUb chandelier for example is one of the most popular designs from LU Murano, featuring 60 different elements and an adjustable design, perfect for hotels, clubs, bars and private residences. Another interesting piece is the LUngo chandelier, which comes with an elegant three level profile, with 36 glass-blown elements, 12 on each level.

But LU Murano always experiments with new designs and since I’m a big fan of carbon fiber, I’m even more excited to write about the TechnoLUgy chandelier, which would look incredible right in my living room. This chandelier is still just a prototype right now and it’s made from carbon fiber poured into moulds taken from an original LU blown glass chandelier.

This carbon fiber chandelier should be ultra light, weighting only 4 kg which is a lot less than its glass equivalent which weights around 40 kg. It’s the perfect fusion between technology and art using an avant garde material with a strong sense of authenticity.
