TripAdvisor, the world-renowned internet site for information regarding resorts and hotels, has recently announced their list of 2012 Travelers Choice awards, rewarded the best locations in the world based on the opinions of the site’s members.

They’ve named “the best hotel in the world” The Phoenix Resort, a 30-suite resort beachfront estate in San Pedro, Belize.

The second place was given to Anastasis Apartments, gorgeous resort in Imerovigli, Greece. The third prize was won by the Hamanasi Adventure and Diva Resort, also in Belize.

The fourth place now belongs to a property in Marrakech called Riad Kniza. The next spot, the fifth, was occupied by a south-African resort in Cape Town, the Derwent House Boutique Hotel. The sixth and seventh places were awarded to Castlewood House in Dingle, Ireland and respectively to Palais Amani, in Fes, Morocco. The 8th and up to 10th place were accorded to hotels and resorts from Ireland, Peru and the Czech Republic.

There is also a prize for “the best relaxation and spa hotel in the world”, which was presented to BollAnt’s im Park in Bad Sobernheim, in Germany. Located deep into the Nahe valley, the spa offers ayurveda, wine-therapy and wellness treatments.

The list goes on, with the award for “the trendiest hotel in the world”, given to Villa Zest Boutique Hotel, which, as they say, offers “seamless fusion of retro style and luxury detail”.

We dearly invite you to try any of these, because simply being mentioned in this list is a privilege and some sort of appreciation for their efforts.
