Set between some of the most dazzling landscapes in the world, in a serene spot embraced by white sand beaches, azure ocean waters and lush vegetation, the One&Only Ocean Club sits on the eastern tip of Paradise Island, Bahamas, just a 40-minute’s drive away from the International Airport in Nassau.

The hotel represents a beautiful mix-up between colonial styles and western lounge, among a vast classic colonial plantation. It impresses everyone its gorgeous gardens that resemble those at Versailles, a 12th century Augustinian cloister and a pillared portico.

The accommodations match the hotel’s reputation, with refined, yet amazingly relaxing facilities. The hotel is divided into two distinct wings, Hartford and Crescent, with a pack of cottages set among tropical gardens and 3 state of the art luxurious villas.

The last ones, featuring three or four bedrooms each, are located above the pristine beach and come with a level of luxury that few can comprehend. The sport gated entries, which, once breeched, reveal an extremely elegant courtyard, which, in turn, features a shaded dining patio and a jetted tub.

The access towards the villa’s great room is represented by enormous glass doors, providing an aerated atmosphere. In addition, some staggering 25-foot wide doors, which share breathtaking views of an infinity edge pool, can allow guests to enjoy the natural wonders of the respective land, the ocean and the beach.

Finished with wooden materials, polished marble floors and featuring gentle fans and vaulted ceilings, the villas are the most extreme marks of elegance you can think of. But you haven’t come to this hotel just to stay under the roof. There’s also the gourmet cuisine to experience, based on continental dishes and traditional local ones.

You can choose from a number of places to go, like Dune Bar, Courtyard Terrace, Pool Terrace Café, Dune and Clubhouse. In addition, there are restaurants where one can enjoy an array of different cuisines, like French and Italian, on Paradise Island, at Atlantis. There’s also an all-day-long concierge service, at your disposal.
