The Amazing Jane Electric Guitar by Relish Guitars

Described as the product Apple would make if the people in Cupertino made musical instruments, Jane is an amazing electric guitar made by fledgling Swiss company Relish Guitars.

Swiss brands are widely recognized for their high levels of craftsmanship, and Relish Guitars doesn’t disappoint, even though their area isn’t one with which their nation is particularly associated with. Nevertheless, the guitar’s innovative design and construction, as well as the high-end materials used make it really easy on the eye. It features an aluminum frame, a bamboo fretboard, and a smooth natural wood finish, and also allows easy access to its electronics, which lets the musician tinker with the instrument if need be.

A really interesting feature is the fact that, with Jane, the pickups are turned on and off with touch sensors on the body of the guitar, instead of the usual 3-way selector switch. These sensors are accompanied by small white LEDs located where the pickup selectors would normally be. The musician can turn the pickups on and off by simply touching the sensor, which cuts power to the pickup, muting it – and also eliminating the inconvenience of having to deal with volume settings, push-pull knobs, or rocker switches.

The Jane electric guitar by Relish Guitars would set you back around $5,000.
