If you want to relax in the desert, yes, in the desert, a resort just outside of Dubai called Al Maha is probably the best resort on Earth for those who want to enjoy luxury among the dunes. This stunning desert resort is located just a short drive from the Burj Khalifa, around 40 miles south east in an amazing desert landscape.

Every guestroom at the Al Maha Resort is a spacious villa with a private pool looking towards the sea of unbroken sand. These villas are shaped after Bedouin tents and provide an air of adventure right in the middle of the desert. These villas are perfect for an unforgettable experience, extremely private and lounging in the pool under the hot sun feels incredible.

The basic Bedouin villas start at around $800 per day and include all meals and two daily trips for two while the most expensive suite, the presidential villa, costs even more than $10,000 per night. The presidential suite has 5,700 square feet of living space and private quarters for private staff and it was even once the private residence for the Dubai royal family.

Since temperatures skyrocket during the afternoon, all excursions and activities take place during the morning and early evening. You could go dune bashing in a Toyota 4×4 SUV with an expert dune basher to take you out of the dunes, you could try falconry which is bird and man coming together for sport and many other interesting activities as well.
