The first generation of the Porsche Panamera was definitely a wonderful surprise, and it received a ton of attention ever since it was launched. But some people thought its looks weren’t exactly supercar worthy, and they couldn’t call Porsche’s luxury sedan beautiful either.

This is why the all-new second generation of the Porsche Panamera has got every single one of us excited, as it comes with a stylish, redesigned look, in its effort to take the entire competition down. The new saloon shows off a sportier silhouette, thanks to a coupe-like body and a longer wheelbase, that makes it a bit similar to the stunning 911.

The 2017 Porsche Panamera also comes with sharper styling details, including the front and rear lights, and a completely new interior, that was also heavily influenced by the new 911. Inside the cockpit you’ll also find additional tech, with high-resolution displays and an array of touch-sensitive surfaces, perfect for the 21st century.

Even rear passengers will enjoy their own digital screen, with new equipment options including a panoramic tilt roof, massage seats, ambient lighting and a high-end 3D sound system – courtesy of Burmester. According to Porsche, the new Panamera will also impress everyone with its new driving dynamics and experience, a statement that has yet to be put to the test.

Based on Porsche’s newer MSB platform, the new Panamera also comes packed with interesting optional and standard systems, such as an adaptive air suspension with new three-chamber technology, Porsche’s Active Suspension Management, the enhanced Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control Sport system, as well as an active roll stabilization.

Another first is that the 2017 Panamera will get Porsche’s rear-wheel steering, pioneered in the 918 Spyder and 911 Turbo, which should improve the driving experience considerably. Powering this stunning vehicle is the company’s new turbocharged 2.9-liter V6 and the 4.0-liter V8, although customers may also opt out for the 4.0-liter V8 diesel, all engines coming  Please note that all engines come mated to a new eight-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and a re-engineered all-wheel drive system.

The Panamera 4S Diesel is a brand new addition to the lineup, benefiting from a massive power output of 422 PS (416 hp) and 850 Nm (627 lb-ft) of torque, which makes it the most powerful production diesel Porsche has ever made. Capable of reaching a top speed of 285 km/h (177 mph), this thing will do 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in a mere 4.5 seconds, while delivering a combined fuel consumption of 6.7 l/100 km.

In Europe, the new Panamera is already available for orders, with customers having to wait for their purchase until November, but in the US you’ll have to wait until early 2017 to get your hands on the 2017 Porsche Panamera.
