The 2013 Hennessey VR1200 Twin Turbo Coupe

This jaw dropping car is a strong proof that Hennessey Performance‘s purpose is to break every power barrier imposed by our common sense. It defies our ideas and laughs in our face. That’s the best description we could ever attribute to the Hennessey VR1200 Twin Turbo Coupé.

The Texas based tuning house has taken a Cadillac CTS-V and transformed it into a ferocious beast, whose thirst for eating asphalt is far from satiability. Some say it’s the fastest and the most powerful four-seater car of today. Is it?

A strong argument would be the monster hiding under its bonnet – a 7.0-litre twin turbo V8 engine that delivers an insane 1,224 HP was mounted instead of the stock 6.2-liter V8, with a lower output, of “just” 556 HP. The power can be chosen from three separate settings, of 1,226 HP, 1,000 HP or 800 HP, via an adjustable boost controller.

The exterior of the car has been garnished with a carbon fiber front splitter, which actively raises the downforce on the front end of the car. The matte black coating comes to complement its aggressive look, while the carbon fiber heat extractor has no other purpose than keeping the massive engine within a strict bracket of temperatures. The monster rides on 20 x 10 inches rims at the front and 20 x 13 inches wheels at the rear, all shod in Michelin Pilot Super Sports Tires.

As for the interior, it boasts with a state of the art Alcantara headliner, leather upholstery, racing model seats with diamond-tufted center sections, 6 point harnesses and a plethora of carbon fiber trims and inserts.

The name Hennessey is stitched on the front seats, as a reminder of the fabled brand that manufactured this beasty vehicle. In addition, the owners will also receive a set of premium Hennessey floor mats to go with the massively strong car. Too bad it will only be manufactured in 12 units. What a pity!
