Taohuayuan

Perhaps the most expensive home in all of China, Taohuayuan is a magnificent 32-bedroom, 32-bath garden home looking more inspiring and beautiful than anyone could have ever imagined. The palatial property is located on a private island, and since it’s accompanied by an astonishing $154 million price-tag, it’s the highest luxury listing in China of all time.

Taohuayuan, which means Utopia, or “Peach Blossom Land” if you translate it literally, can be found on the south shore of Suzhou’s Dushu Lake, offering its future owners probably the most breathtaking views over the lake and the entire surrounding area. There’s no wonder it took over 3 years to complete this amazing property.

Xiangshanbang Traditional Architectural and Building Skills was the company responsible for every single brick used in the construction of this luxurious property. Complemented by manicured gardens inspired by East Asia, this lavish home is a brilliant result of patience and unlimited imagination.

According to the listing’s agent, Juan Zhao Feng, there are already quite a few clients lined up to purchase Taohuayuan, although a homegrown Chinese billionaire is expected to get his or her hands on it. But we’re sure every single billionaire would love to live in this Chinese fairy tale after looking at the gallery below.  I mean… who wouldn’t?
